GPOU reported on suspicion of Shoygu and 17 Russian officials in "very serious crimes"

The General Prosecutor of Ukraine reported on suspicion of 18 members of the Russian government and leaders of the Russian Armed Forces. It was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, - reports UNIAN.

He noted that suspicion was reported on August 8th this year.

"General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine reported suspicion in committing particularly serious crimes against the national security of Ukraine and public safety, peace and the international rule of law ... 18 people among representatives of authorities and leaders of the Russian Armed Forces. Among them: the Russian president's adviser, former presidential envoy to the so-called "Crimean Federal District", Russian Defense Minister and his two deputies and 10 generals of the high command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," - said Lutsenko.

According to the Prosecutor General, all 18 suspects are on the wanted list, we are preparing a petition to the court on their detention. "All suspects are declared on the state wanted list," - said Lutsenko.

He also said that a petition to the court was being prepared for permission for their arrest and delivery to the court on considering application of preventive measures in the form of detention.

Prosecutor General also noted that the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office continued to collect evidence of the involvement of other Russian officials and military personnel in "unleashing and conducting the aggressive war against Ukraine and committing other war crimes."

In addition, Lutsenko said that 18 Russian officials got suspicion by international express mail at the address of their working place. According to the Prosecutor General, suspicious was sent to, in particular, Presidential Aide Sergey Glazyev, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu, Deputy Minister of Defense Dmitry Bulgakov, chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valeriy Gerasimov and others. In addition, the journalists were shown 15-minute video conversation at the briefing showing Glazyev, Konstantin Zatulin and other Russian officials on the organization of the capture of Kharkov, Odessa, Donetsk and Zaporizhye Regional State Administration. Lutsenko stressed that linguistic examination confirmed the authenticity of the voices of the participants of these conversations.
