Sladkoye village in Donetsk region experienced heavy shellfire

Militants fired at Sladkoye village in Donetsk region with cannon artillery of 122 mm caliber on Sunday. It is reported by the press officer of the Ukrainian side in the JCCC Vadim Bakay on Facebook page of the press center in the ATO headquarters.

Shellfire from Yelenovka direction lasted 15 minutes. Violation of the ceasefire and the use of prohibited weapons were recorded by Ukrainian side in the JCCC.

"When checking the area Ukrainian observers recorded the fact of explosion of the 122-mm artillery shell in the yard in Veteranov Street. The powerful explosion damaged the wall of a house with shrapnes, windows, broke glass and damaged roof and a part of the outbuilding," - said the statement.


In addition, 11 explosions of artillery ammunition were found on the outskirts of the village. "Moreover, some of the funnels were significantly bigger than others. Observers suggest that considerably more powerful ammunition was used, however, remnants of munitions, which would indicate weapons, could not be found. Farmland and surface of the cultivated field were affected by the shellfire," - noted the JCCC.

There are no casualties mong civilian victims.
