Local residency requirement to nominate candidates for the so-called "nation-wide primaries" in the "DPR" will be five years. It was announced today at the briefing by self-proclaimed "Secretary of the Temporary Election Commission," Yelena Molchanova, - reports the separatist DAN website.

"The right to be elected during the nation-wide primaries will be granted to candidates who have reached 18 years of age and residing in the respective administrative and territorial units of the republic during last five years," - she said.

Thus, temporarily displaced persons who were forced to leave the occupied territory of Donetsk region will automatically lose the right to participate in the "national referendum" as a candidate.
