There is no reason to wait until May 8, there must be an immediate and unconditional ceasefire — Zelensky

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address on April 28.

"Now there’s yet another attempt at manipulation: for some reason, everyone is supposed to wait until May 8 and only then cease fire just to give putin silence during his parade. We value human lives, not parades. That’s why we believe — the world believes — there is no reason to wait until May 8. And the fire must not stop for just a few days only to kill again later. An immediate, full, and unconditional ceasefire for at least 30 days, to make it guaranteed and reliable, is what can lay the foundation for real diplomacy", - Zelensky said.
