The European Union argues that currently there is no confirmation of statements by Russian officials about the events in the Crimea and expressed support for the integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea. It is stated in the comments of the European Union representative in Ukraine, provided toYevropeyskaya Pravda.

"We are not aware of any evidence to support Russian claims about the events in Armyansk," - said Jurgis Vilcinskas, head of Press and Information Department of the diplomatic mission, stressing that it is the official position of the EU.

It is noted that the EU is calling for a peaceful solution of the issue, including in Donbass.

"We firmly keep the position of supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as the reform programme. The EU calls for a peaceful solution of the conflict, including the one in eastern Ukraine," - he said, recalling the condemnation of the European Union regarding the illegal annexation of the Crimea by Russia.

As previously reported, on August 9th the FSS stated about the alleged two attempts of attacks by the Ukrainian military and subversives in the Crimea. Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on this statement, accused the authorities of Ukraine of terror. Ukraine denies all charges.
