Judge of the Dnieper District Court of Kiev Nikolay Chaus, who is accused of taking bribes, has not yet appeared for interrogation at NABU. It is reported by Ukrainska Pravda with reference to the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

"He hasn’t shown up. As at 13.00 he is not here," - noted the agency.

N. Chaus was to come to the NABU at 12.00. Director of NABU Artem Sitnik said during a briefing on Thursday that he was almost sure that Chaus would come. He also added that detectives head Chaus#s passport.

As previously reported, on August 9th  judge of the Dnieper District Court of Kiev Nikolay Chaus was detained on a bribe of 150 thousand dollars.

Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) plans to inform judge Nikolay Chaus of suspicion on Thursday, August 11th. Then SAP will appeal to the Supreme Court for the latter to appeal to the Verkhovna Rada to withdraw immunity from Chaus.

Chaus as a judge was engaged in a number of high-profile cases. He took action against Automaidan during the Revolution of Dignity. Later he conducted the case of Gennadiy Korban and cancelled criminal investigation of Yuri Ivanyushchenko - thanks to him Yura Yenakiyevskyi lifted the ban in the European courts on travel to Europe and was able to leave Russia for Monaco.

Chaus was under lustration in the list of the Ministry of Justice on lustration - but continued to work as a judge.
