Rapprochement of Putin and Erdogan involves economic threats to Ukraine but not political. Expert on international affairs Andrei Buzarov expressed this opinion in his comments to OstroV.

According to him, visit of the Turkish President to Russia has more economic motives rather than political ones.

"Erdogan's visit to Russia is caused solely by economic motives. Now Erdogan and Putin’s goal of is to create a certain cartel in the Middle East, including with the participation of Israel in the long run in order to influence the European Union die to the gas cartel in. If Putin and Erdogan succeed to create such a union of influence, it will affect Ukraine in the field of economy. If they build a "Turkish stream", it will be an alternative for gas supplies from Russia to Europe,"- said the expert.

According to him, "sides make money and think about the economy."

Andrey Buzarov noted that radical political changes should not be expected.

"I think that the political situation will not change globally: Turkey will also support Ukraine diplomatically. Balance between Turkey and Russia will remain on Ukraine and Syria," - he said.

Turkish Stream is a gas pipeline project which is planned to lay under the Black Sea from Anapa district to Turkey and then through a hub to the European countries.

As previously reported, in St. Petersburg on August 9th President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held negotiations, the main topic of which was development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
