Starting January 16, Ukrainians who lost family members as a result of russian military aggression can apply for compensation through the International Register of Damage for Ukraine (RD4U) in The Hague, established by the Council of Europe, reports the Telegram channel "DW Glavnoe".

Applicants are required to provide electronic information about themselves, the deceased relative, and the circumstances of their death. No proof of financial losses related to the loss of a loved one is required.

All information about the application process is available on the organization's website in English and Ukrainian. Compensation will be paid after the war ends.

Previously, The Hague began accepting applications from Ukrainians who suffered material damage as a result of the russian invasion. Around 13,000 applications for material damage compensation, including destroyed homes, have already been submitted, totaling approximately €800 million, according to the report.
