Enemy strikes Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 50 UAVs overnight

As reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of January 17, the enemy launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov oblast, along with 50 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

"As of 09:00 a.m., the confirmed downing of 33 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones has been recorded in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Odesa oblasts", - the report states.

Enemy drones hit facilities in the Odesa Oblast, while the wreckage of downed UAVs caused damage to buildings of institutions, private enterprises, and households in the Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Kyiv oblasts.

Additionally, nine enemy decoy drones were locally lost without causing harm, and one drone exited Ukraine’s airspace toward Romania, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified.
