Russian forces shelled 15 settlements, damaging 65 civilian structures, including 23 residential homes, reported Vadym Filashkin, head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, and regional police on January 16.

The Volnovakha district: In Kostiantynopil, the Velyka Novosilka community, 2 people were injured.

The Pokrovsk district: A house was damaged in Myrnohrad. In Pokrovsk, a business, an administrative building, and a house sustained damage. In the Dobropil community, Chernihivka, 1 person was injured, and a business, administrative building, and house were damaged; an administrative building was damaged in Shevchenkivka.

The Kramatorsk district: In Lyman, a house was damaged, and three more in Drobysheve. In Kramatorsk, 10 people were injured, including two children, aged 6 and 16, and eight women aged 47-73. Damage was reported to 18 multi-story buildings, three educational institutions, and one infrastructure facility. In Oleksiieve-Druzhkivka, 1 person was injured. In Kostiantynivka, a house and power lines were damaged; in Stinky, 1 person was injured, and two houses were damaged. In Popasne, one house was damaged.

The Bakhmut district: In Siversk, 11 houses were damaged. In the Chasiv Yar community, five private houses and three multi-story buildings were damaged.

In the past 24 hours, 257 more people, including 13 children, were evacuated from frontline areas.
