Indictment against former chief of staff - first deputy commander-in-chief of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitriy Shakuro who sided with the aggressor country by changing the oath. It was reported on the website of the main military prosecutor Anatoliy Matios.

"The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Yuzhnyin region of Ukraine has completed the special pre-trial investigation and filed to the court an indictment against former chief of staff - first deputy commander-in-chief of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, rear-admiral Dmitriy Shakuro who sided with the aggressor country by changing the oath," - said the statement.

Former rear admiral is reported to desert from the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and joined the armed forces of the aggressor state and in July 2014 was appointed at the post of deputy commander of the Caspian Navy Flotilla of the Russian Federation. "Currently he is dismissed from military service and on the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea," – says the report.

In July he was reported on suspicion of committing crimes under Part 1, Art. 408 (desertion) and Part 1, Art. 111 (treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
