Pechersk District Court of Kiev chose measure of restraint for former MPof the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Yefremov in the form of detention for 2 months, - reports RBC-Ukraine.
The decision was made during the court session.
"The court decided to satisfy the prosecutor’s request. Put Yefremov under restraint for a period of 60 days prior to September 28th," – said Judge Vladimir Karaban.
General Prosecutor's Office suspects former head of the Party of Regions faction of misappropriation of Luhanskugol property by malpractice (Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code), committing deliberate actions to change the territorial boundaries of Ukraine which led to the deaths and other severe consequences (Part 3 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as conducting organizational and other assistance to the creation of the "LPR" terrorist organization (Part 1 of Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
