The Verkhovna Rada has extended martial law and mobilization in Ukraine for the 13th time, as reported by Lb.ua. The extension of martial law received 311 votes from MPs, while mobilization received 304 votes.
The bills were presented by Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, who noted the need to mobilize over 160,000 additional people to bring unit staffing to more than 80% capacity.
In total, more than one million have been mobilized. Martial law and mobilization have been extended for another 90 days, now set to last until February 7, based on the proposal submitted by the President of Ukraine.
