Russia launched over 70 attack drones and several missiles at Ukraine overnight

During the night, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 67 attack drones and one guided missile, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on September 30.

Between the night of September 30, 2024 (from 7:00 PM on September 29 to 8:00 AM on September 30), the enemy launched a strike on Ukraine using various types of missiles and attack drones. In total, the radar forces of the Air Force detected and tracked 76 enemy aerial threats, including:

- One Iskander-M ballistic missile from occupied Crimea;

- One guided Kh-59/69 missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia oblasts;

- One Kh-31P anti-radiation missile from the airspace over the Black Sea;

- 73 Shahed-type attack drones from the regions of Kursk, Yeysk, and Oryol in russia.

The aerial attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine's defense forces.

"As a result of the air battle, one guided Kh-59/69 missile and 67 Shahed-type enemy drones were shot down over the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv oblasts", - the report stated.

One drone flew towards Belarus, three others lost location in northern Ukraine due to electronic warfare measures, and one drone remains in Ukraine's airspace, with combat operations ongoing.
