The Coordination Headquarters has approved the forced evacuation of families with children from three more settlements in the Volnovakha district. This was announced during a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters by the deputy head of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration, Ihor Boiko.
The affected villages are Shakhtarske, Yasna Poliana, and Rozdolne.
"A total of 14 children were living there, and thanks to awareness-raising efforts, families with 12 children voluntarily left the dangerous villages", - Boiko noted.
Evacuation from the Donetsk oblast is currently being carried out by rail, humanitarian organization buses, and also through people evacuating themselves in their own vehicles to safer regions. To meet the needs of internally displaced persons, hubs and shelters have been set up where assistance is provided.
Approximately 347,000 people remain in the Ukraine-controlled territory of the Donetsk oblast. Since the start of the forced evacuation, 11,000 children have been evacuated from the region. In 14 settlements, from which the mandatory evacuation of families with children continues, 848 children remain in the Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts.
The majority of these children are in the city of Kostiantynivka, where 611 children still live. Next is Pokrovsk, with 135 children, and a total of 264 minors remain in danger in the Pokrovsk community. In the Illinivka community, 64 families are still residing.
