During the past night, four guided air missiles and 66 attack drones were shot down over Ukraine, according to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force Command on September 26.
"As a result of air defense combat, four guided air missiles (Kh-59/69) and 66 attack drones were shot down. Eight enemy drones were lost in various regions of Ukraine (no reports of casualties or damage). One drone returned to russia, and another remains in Ukrainian airspace, with combat operations ongoing", - the statement said.
It was noted that on the night of September 26, 2024, the enemy attacked the Sumy oblast with two unidentified types of missiles from the Belgorod oblast, and the Odesa oblast with four guided Kh-59/69 missiles from the Black Sea. Additionally, the occupiers launched 78 Shahed-type attack drones at Ukraine (launch areas: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Oryol, and Kursk in russia).
Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units were involved in countering the enemy's air assault.
Air defense systems were active in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson oblasts.
