The United States announced a new $375 million assistance package for Ukraine on September 25, according to a statement by the U.S. Department of Defense.

"The Biden Administration announced additional security assistance for Ukraine. Today, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced additional security assistance support to ensure Ukraine has the tools it needs to prevail in its fight against russian aggression. This includes the authorization of a Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) package, which has an estimated value of $375 million, to provide Ukraine additional capabilities to meet its most urgent needs, including: air-to-ground weapons; munitions for rocket systems and artillery; armored vehicles; and anti-tank weapons", - the statement reads.

The capabilities in the PDA package include:

  • Air-to-ground munitions;
  • Ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
  • 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition;
  • Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems;
  • M1117 Armored Security Vehicles;
  • Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles;
  • Light tactical vehicles;
  • Armored bridging systems;
  • Small arms;
  • Patrol boats;
  • Demolitions equipment and munitions;
  • Spare parts, ancillary equipment, services, training, and transportation.  

"This is the Biden Administration's sixty-sixth tranche of equipment to be provided from DoD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021. The United States will continue to work together with some 50 Allies and partners through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and its associated capability coalitions to provide the support Ukraine needs to win the war", - the U.S. Department of Defense added.
