The Cabinet of Ministers allocated nearly UAH 72 million for mailing out 900,000 draft notices by the end of the year

The Cabinet has designated UAH 71.82 million (USD 1.73 million) for the centralized printing of 900,000 draft notices by the end of 2024, according to documents obtained by Ukrainska Pravda. The decision aims to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

The funds will be used by the Ministry of Defense to print and mail draft notices to reservists and those liable for military service. These notices will be generated from the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Reservists, and those liable for military service, and sent via registered mail with an inventory list.

A report on the usage of these funds must be submitted to the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Treasury Service by December 28, 2024.

Earlier, on July 9, the Cabinet of Ministers regulated the mechanism for centralized printing and mailing of draft notices.

The printing will be handled by the Ministry of Defense or state enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and national security (in the printing industry) under contracts between the MoD, the designated postal operator, and relevant state enterprises.

The decision was made during a meeting on September 24. According to a briefing note from the Ministry of Economy, 300,000 draft notices are expected to be printed each month.

The Ministry of Finance has been tasked with allocating funds from the state budget’s reserve fund.
