Over the past weekend, in the occupied Sievierodonetsk, the forest fire spread to the Shchedryshcheve neighborhood, which is located separately from the main part of the city to the north on the left bank of the Borova River. This was reported by the occupying authorities and the head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, Artem Lysohor, on Telegram on September 2.

"Over the weekend, the forest near Sievierodonetsk ignited again. The blaze engulfed houses in the Shchedryshcheve area and is spreading further. It is already known that more than 80 homes have been destroyed", - Lysohor writes.

It is noted that the so-called "LNR" has declared a level five fire danger, the highest level.

"This message was meant to warn the population but did nothing to enhance the work of the fire departments. Cases where fires from dry grass or forests spread to residential areas have become commonplace. Rescuers do not intervene because 'there are not enough resources and means.' The occupying authorities managed to find some drinking water—several liters were delivered, and that was the end of the help", - the head of the OMA said.

Earlier, the "LNR" authorities admitted that "the number of fires in the republic's ecosystem continues to grow every day".

It was also reported earlier that in the occupied Antratsyt district, which has been under occupation since 2014, fires have destroyed entire streets, and the "authorities" have introduced a "municipal emergency regime".
