The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a platoon strongpoint in the Kursk oblast with American precision bombs, GBU-39, resulting in the deaths of up to 40 russian servicemen. This was reported by the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleschuk, on Telegram.

"August 22, 2024, 16:00. This is what an airstrike by the Air Force with precision American GBU-39 bombs on a platoon strongpoint in the Kursk oblast looks like. A UAV control point, an electronic warfare unit, equipment, weapons, and up to 40 russian servicemen were hit", - Oleschuk wrote.

It was previously reported that a ferry carrying 30 fuel tanks, which caught fire after a Ukrainian Armed Forces attack, sank in the Taman port of "Kavkaz".
