Ex-leader of the "LPR" Valeriy Bolotov hinted at the resuscitation of Novorossia project. He said that on his Facebook page.

"I have received a collective proposal from the parliament members of Novorossia to lead the parliament of this movement and continue the work that was started," - said Bolotov who was recently engaged in the formation of humanitarian convoys to Luhansk region in Moscow.

As previously reported, Novorossia project was supposed to cover nine regions of Ukraine (Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye, Kherson, Nikolayev, Odessa). Russian special services tried to provoke separatism epidemic there, but this idea was not supported anywhere else except for some districts of Donetsk region.

Igor Strelkov, who in the spring and summer of 2014 commanded the terrorists in Slavyansk and served as the "Defense Minister" of the unrecognized DPR stated that Novorossia project "turned out to be "colossal failure" for the Kremlin. He noted the significant strengthening of the Ukrainian army positions while the self-declared republic, in his opinion, continued to "dance on the rake."

Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov was removed from mentoring of Novorossia project and now his successor - deputy head of the Russian government Dmitry Kozak.
