On August 3, a Ukrainian strike destroyed a Su-34 bomber and an ammunition depot at the Morozovsk military airfield in the Rostov oblast, russia. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on Telegram on August 5.
"Satellite intelligence indicates that as a result of the fire strike on the Morozovsk military airfield in the Rostov oblast on August 3, 2024, a Su-34 bomber was destroyed. Two other russian aircraft of the same type were likely damaged by fragments, with craters from explosions recorded near the aircraft", - the statement said.
It was noted that the enemy's aviation ammunition depot was completely destroyed. Large areas of scorched earth are visible on and around the airfield due to secondary detonations of russian munitions.
Four technical buildings and two hangars at the Morozovsk airbase, located 265 kilometers from the front line, also sustained clearly visible damage from space.
