Russian occupation forces attacked the Donetsk oblast with various caliber weapons, killing five and injuring three civilians. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office on Facebook.

According to the report, on the morning of July 18, 2024, the occupiers conducted an artillery strike on the village of Plischiivka in the Kramatorsk district. As a result of the strike on a residential house, an 85-year-old local man was killed. His wife was being given emergency assistance but died during the process.

In addition, the russian armed forces struck the village of Hrodivka in the Pokrovsk district. The occupiers' shells hit a private sector, where three women aged 26, 32, and 77 died from injuries.

Furthermore, the settlement of Velyka Novosilka in the Volnovakha district came under attack. Preliminary reports suggest the enemy used two KAB-250 aerial bombs against the civilian population. A married couple, aged 48 and 56, were injured while in their home.

Another man was injured in the city of Zalizne, which the occupiers likely shelled with artillery. At the time of the attack, he was at his residence. The 58-year-old victim was hospitalized.
