At the emergency UN Security Council meeting, the russian missile strike on the "Okhmatdyt" children's hospital in Kyiv was called a war crime. This was reported by DW.
Most participants at the emergency UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday, July 9, sharply condemned the russian missile strike on Kyiv, which hit the "Okhmatdyt" children's hospital.
Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, unsuccessfully tried to justify the strike, claiming that "russia does not target civilian objects in Ukraine". According to him, the target in Kyiv was the Artem plant, and the "Okhmatdyt" hospital was allegedly hit by a Ukrainian air defense missile. Nebenzya provided no evidence for this version.
In response, Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsia, showed participants photos during his speech that clearly depicted a russian Kh-101 missile heading towards the hospital.
