Death toll is rising in Kyiv: 5 dead, 11 injured, and debris has fallen in 7 districts of the city

Five people were killed and nine injured as a result of the enemy strike on Kyiv on July 8, as reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, on Telegram.

"As a result of the rocket strike on Kyiv, debris was recorded in Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts. All emergency services are working at the scenes. As of now, it is preliminarily known that there are nine injured", - the message said at 11:25 a.m.

"Data clarification. As of this minute, it is preliminarily known that five people have been killed. Information is being updated", - Popko wrote six minutes later.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported on Telegram at 11:36 a.m.: "The number of injured is unfortunately increasing. Eleven injured are now known, with eight in hospitals".

Preliminary damage reports are as follows:

In Solomianskyi district, an office building is damaged.

In Holosiivskyi district, garages are damaged, and cars are burning.

In Dniprovskyi district, debris is burning in a residential area.

In Darnytskyi district, a private house is damaged.

In Sviatoshynskyi district, debris is burning near a residential building, and there is also a fire at one of the enterprises.

In Desnianskyi district, a house is on fire.

In Shevchenkivskyi district, the children's hospital "Okhmatdyt" is damaged, with destruction reported.
