Zelensky visited the Donetsk oblast: surprised that some officials haven't been here for over six months

President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Donetsk oblast today, where he introduced the new commander of the Joint Forces. Zelensky spoke about his working trip on June 26.

"The Donetsk oblast. Together with our warriors, along with Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi and the new commander of the Joint Forces, General Hnatov. Today, I officially introduced Andriy Hnatov to everyone responsible for defense in the Donetsk oblast. We listened to reports directly from the positions. I was pleased to personally see and thank our 110th Brigade and the 47th Brigade – absolutely heroic and effective guys. I also thanked our combat medics", - the president said.

He also held a meeting in the Donetsk oblast regarding security and support for the people. "Many issues were discussed, including ensuring basic necessities like water, social issues, evacuation, support for defense, and housing restoration. There will be a separate conversation in Kyiv, particularly with officials who should be here and in other places near the front lines – in difficult communities where people need immediate solutions that simply cannot be seen from Kyiv", - he added.
