Zelensky replaced Commander of the AFU Joint Forces, Lieutenant General Sodol, with Brigadier General Hnatov

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has decided to replace the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol, with Brigadier General Andriy Hnatov. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief announced this in a video address on June 24.

"A morning meeting with the military. The Commander-in-Chief, the Chief of the General Staff, and the Minister of Defense were present. We discussed the situation in key areas. The greatest focus is currently on the Donetsk oblast and providing our forces with everything they need. We also discussed personnel issues in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I decided to replace the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol, with Brigadier General Andriy Hnatov", - said Zelensky.

"There was also a report today on Pokrovsk - the aftermath of russian missile strikes. Dozens of people were injured, including three children. Four people died. My condolences to their families and loved ones. We will definitely respond to russia for this strike - we will respond absolutely justly", - added the President.
