Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov has announced his upcoming visit to occupied Donbas "in the very near future", according to russian media on June 12.

He revealed his intentions during a meeting with children from Mariupol whose parents died during the city's capture by russian forces. Lavrov stated that he hopes to visit Donbas soon.

"We have already opened our representative offices in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts are next in line... I hope to visit there in the very near future", - TASS quotes him as saying.

Additionally, Lavrov "expressed a desire to communicate with people on the front lines".

It was also reported that russians continue to abduct orphaned children from occupied Donbas under the guise of supposed adoption procedures.
