Militants’ sniper, who killed opera singer Vasiliy Slipaka on June 29th in Luhanskoye, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, was eliminated on Monday night in the ATO area in Donbass. It is reported by a fighter of one of the Ukrainian volunteer battalions Igor Greg on the Facebook page.

"Tonight, after three days of hard work, a group of unknown, without any markings, so to say "wearenothere", eliminated the sniper of Russian Hassan counter-sniper group. Rest in peace, Mif," - said Igor Greg.

As previously reported, opera singer Vasiliy Slipak was killed by a sniper in the morning on June 29th. Callsign "Mif" was taken as an abbreviation of Mefistofele from the opera Faust by Goethe. V.Slipak was born in Lviv, studied at the Lviv National Academy of Music named after N. Lysenko and after graduation he was invited to the Paris Opera. He lived 20 years in France, but two years ago he volunteered in the ATO area. He was at the forefront together with fellows.

On June 30th President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko awarded V.Slipak with the order "For Courage" of I degree (posthumously).
