Main police officer of Donetsk region noted an increase in crime on the occupied territory

The rise in crime is observed on the occupied territory of Donetsk region. It was written by head of the MD NP in Donetsk region Vyacheslav Abroskin on his Facebook page.

"In the "country without oligarchs" crime rate is growing. Killing on the territory has become normal," - wrote Abroskin telling about the murder of a young woman in occupied Makeyevka.

At the same time, he said that the citizens who were in occupation "resort to the police on the controlled territory to investigate the crimes in which they are victims when living on the occupied territory."

So, over the past six months police of Donetsk region registered 294 criminal offenses committed on the temporarily occupied territory. The biggest number of crimes committed in Donetsk – 162, Gorlovka - 37, Makeyevka - 27, Yenakiyevo - 8 and Yasinovataya - 6.

In terms of the type of crimes: 14 murders, 4 of which – ordinary crimes (Gorlovka - 2, Donetsk and Makeyevka - 1) and 10 facts of abduction of citizens; 5 robberies (Donetsk – 3, Gorlovka - 2); 68 car thefts, the biggest number of which were committed in Donetsk – 37, Gorlovka - 7, Yenakiyevo, Khartsyzsk, Makeyevka - 2; 36 thefts of citizens’ property, the biggest amount committed onthe territory of Donetsk – 14, Gorlovka – 7 and 13 frauds.

"And this figures only shows cases when people resorted to the police. Unofficially, the number of crimes committed on the territory is much more higher. People on the occupied territory get the following response when they rsort to "authorities of the young republic":" What do you expect? Endure". When the power is in the hands of criminals, then there is no law, its meaning is repleced," - wrote Abroskin.
