Enemy advancement on the Avdiivka direction has been halted – Lykhovyi

Further enemy advancement has been halted in the area of Novoselivka, Berdychiv, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske on the Avdiivka direction. This was announced by the spokesperson of the operational-strategic troops group Tavria, Dmytro Lykhovyi, during a broadcast on the national Ukrainian TV news marathon on March 4th.

"Since the beginning of today and until 18:00 on the Avdiivka direction, there have been 21 enemy attacks in the areas of Novoselivka, Berdychiv, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske. We can say that on this hottest direction of the direct russian strike, the situation is being stabilized, and the enemy's advancement has been halted", - he said.

According to him, the enemy partially controls the villages of Berdychiv and Tonenke, but "... The defense forces are doing their job, inflicting significant losses on the enemy, so the enemy's advancement has been stopped at this line".

It was previously reported that the russians attacked 21 times on the Avdiivka direction and 16 times on the Novopavlivka direction.
