Ukraine demands from Russia de-occupation of Crimea and monetary compensation in the amount of 1 trillion UAH. It was stated at the press conference by First Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Natalia Sevostyanova, – reports Gromadske.

Ukraine filed the corresponding suit to the European Court of Human Rights.

"The damage caused by the loss of state assets in 2014 is previously estimated as 1 trillion hryvnia. It is not only a demand for compensation but demand to return Crimea and pay compensation, "- she said.

According to her, the European Court of Human Rights is the most effective mechanism to deal with cases of this kind.

"Failure to fulfill the decision of the court will mean political problems for Russia," - said Sevostyanova.
