Situation in the area of ​​the ATO area continues to deteriorate. It was announced today at the briefing by speaker of the Presidential Administration on the ATO Alexander Motuzianik, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.

"The situation in the ATO area continues to deteriorate. The enemy is actively using heavy weapons in all directions. These are the mortars of 82 mm caliber, as well as artillery. According to assessment of staff, yesterday more than 300 mortar shells and more than 160 rounds were fired at our positions. Enemy snipers are also actively shooting. We are sure to say that combat operations are conducted at the level of August 2015," - he said.

According to him, militants fired at three villages controlled by Ukraine over the past day: Avdeyevka, Pervomayskoye (artillery) and Vodyanoye (mortars).

"The last case occurred during daylight hours and was recorded by observers of the OSCE mission which then were in this village," - said A.Motuzianik.
