Occupiers shelled the Myrnohrad community in the Donetsk oblast, resulting in one fatality

In the morning, the occupiers shelled the Mirnograd community in the Donetsk region, there was a dead person.

On the morning of February 23, russian occupiers shelled the Myrnohrad community in the Donetsk oblast, resulting in one fatality. This was reported to Suspilne Donbas by the acting head of the City's Military Administration, Volodymyr Tretiak.

According to him, russian forces fired S-300 missiles at the private sector of Myrnohrad. As a result of the shelling, one house was completely destroyed, leading to the death of a 68-year-old man.

"One private house in the city was completely destroyed, and several other houses were damaged. In the morning, a commission is working to determine the extent of the damage. We will provide materials for people to cover broken windows", - he said.

As reported by Suspilne Donbas, the press secretary of the prosecutor's office of the Donetsk oblast, Anastasiia Medvedeva, mentioned that a 67-year-old man was found under the rubble of the destroyed house. Rescuers managed to extract him alive.

"The victim with severe injuries was extracted from under the rubble alive and urgently taken to the hospital, but he died during resuscitation measures", - the press secretary said.

According to her information, the shelling caused damage to private and multi-storey houses, cars, and a store. A pre-trial investigation under Article 438 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely the violation of laws and customs of war, has been initiated in connection with this shelling.

It is worth noting that on February 22, one civilian was killed, and another 19 were injured as a result of shelling in the Donetsk oblast.
