The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on mobilization in the first reading

The Verkhovna Rada has passed in the first reading the government bill No. 10449 on amending certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding specific issues related to military service, mobilization, and military accounting.

The bill was supported by 243 Members of Parliament during the plenary session on February 7th.

It is worth noting that the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada acknowledged on February 5th that the mobilization bill poses corruption risks.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers proposed three penalties for draft dodgers in the new mobilization bill.
