Poroshenko’s envoy for the peaceful settlement states a record number of people killed and injured in the ATO area

President’s envoy for a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbass Irina Gerashchenko stated the significant deterioration of the situation in Donbass and a record number of victims at the front during last 4 weeks. She announced that today during the roundtable in Kiev, - reports UNIAN.

"We have now an absolutely tragic period this year - after the May holidays, a significant increase in attacks, the number of violations of the ceacefire in the east," - said Gerashchenko.

"We have an absolutely record during past four weeks, the number of dead and wounded at the front, including among the civilian population. And, obviously, that the security situation in Donbass, its significant deterioration is the key point which does not allow to speak about the possibility of solving issues in the humanitarian and economic sphere ... the security situation in the east is a priority," - added Gerashchenko.
