By and large, everything is possible in the "republic". But not for everyone! Of course, money solves the problems. If you have it. But since not everyone has it, it is better not to create these problems for yourself… So, what exactly cannot be done in Luhansk what could be done under Ukraine?

Do not move during the curfew.

An interesting nuance, quite a lot of citizens do not know the scope of this curfew, because they come home before 21:00 and leave the house no earlier than 6:00.

Yes, everything was different before the events of 2014, but five years is quite a lot of time to get used to live in some restrictions on the one hand, and on the other, just stop having the habit of moving at dusk. I asked a dozen of my friends about the time of the curfew and heard quite blurry answers. Of course, the exact answer will be given by the taxi service workers, local "law enforcement officers" and "military", who are associated with this by the nature of their activities.

For the most part, people are used to resolve all the basic issues before 21:00, especially since the stores do not work later. What happens if they are detained during the curfew? If detained with documents, it will cost a fine of $32 from the detainee, without documents - $65. Payment of the fine is made quite officially through a local court. If the penalty is not paid on time, the amount of payment increases.

In addition to the fine, there will be a very unpleasant procedure for detention and interrogations all night long with explanations of where from and where to they were moving, plus an examination in narcology.

You may be lucky - they will let you go. It happens that it is possible to agree with the patrol squad. But most often, for the sake of statistics, all detainees are taken through numerous journals and fined, which greatly replenishes the local treasury.

I was surprised to learn about six months ago that elevators in high-rise buildings work only until 21:00, and then they are turned off until the morning. It says only that I have had no visits until it is dark and that I have not worked after hours for the past five years. And that the "republic" cut corners even on elevators.

Do not smoke in places not designated for this. It can cost another $32 fine. To begin with, the "district militia officer" will take a picture of the violator, and then present a photo and write a fine. Another income article of the "republic"!

We can say that all this is nonsense, that you can leave, run away or come to terms, but usually, such a naive conviction has those who have never been in such stories. A fine not paid on time will result in an increase in the amount.

Do not make bonfires outside the gates of private housing. However, they cannot be made anywhere. Trash should be taken out - even the leaves. In fact, it looks like this: yard-keepers in dormitory districts sweep up leaves into huge piles, which the utility companies systematically struggle with for a couple of months, immersing them in tractors and taking to landfills.

The leaves are stubbornly burned in a private sector, where the house owner pays for everything himself, hoping that he will not be fined this time. If you are not lucky, a firefighter squad and an environmental response unit come. They can bring TV with them. Then there will be a demonstrative fine and an interview.

By the way, utilities topic. The punishment for disorder in the front yards of private housing buildings has become tougher. That is, the district police officers regularly go round the property entrusted to them and write out fines for construction waste, leaf piles and mess near the houses. Someone will say that he/she burns fires as before, smokes, and that his/her garbage does not bother anyone. Believe me, this is till the first fine. The nearby neighbors, who did not like either the neighbor him/herself or his/her fires, can rat out.

Do not use a military uniform without accompanying documents. That is, if a person goes in a military uniform, he must have a supporting document for this. Otherwise - see point one: detention, interrogation and fine. And it does not take half an hour of life.

To the topic of uniform. Do not be under the influence of alcohol in military uniform. It is forbidden even to go with a bottle of beer in uniform when you have a leave warrant. Anyone can dial the "commandant's office's" hotline and report it.

Also, do not threaten with your official position and use it out of service. The most disenfranchised person now is the very same man in uniform, who will be easily dismissed for complaining to a neighbor who has snubbed him.

It is not recommended to upload photos with Ukrainian symbols on social networks: in embroidered shirts and with other national attributes. The minimum penalty for this is dismissal from the "state-owned" enterprises.

You cannot shoot "military" objects categorically. Even for yourself and yourself against their background. Any such action will entail a lot of consequences like a snowball effect - detention, interrogations, trial, sentence, colony and then at a venture - the exchange of prisoners or up to 10 years in the local camps.

Any city building like a former bank, guarded by people with weapons from the outside, has a defense classification, so it is strictly forbidden to examine it, stay near it and, God forbid, taking pictures.

Do not work for Ukraine. In any form. The trips to Ukraine themselves, even to receive a pension, are kept low-key. There is such a local belief, if you talk about the upcoming trip in advance, this trip will not end well. Therefore, your yesterday interlocutor may surprise you with the fact that today he left for Ukraine without informing you of the plans. It usually happens this way, people talk about their trips after the fact and, most often, only to the relatives.

Any form of cooperation with Ukraine may be incriminated as collecting and transmitting data, espionage activities and preparation of terrorist attacks. This is up to 15 years in a high-security prison. They usually imprison people for betraying their homeland, and much more is being added to what they find - data transfer, intelligence work in another country and so on and so forth. Therefore, people here less and less talk sincerely about holidays in Ukraine, trips there on business and other things that are completely innocent at the first glance.
