131 cases of coronavirus disease were detected in the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast over the day. This was reported by the fake "DNR Ministry of Health". Eight more patients died. In total, as of February 25, 23 848 cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed, 5 354 patients were undergoing treatment and 2008 people died. Thus, the mortality rate remains at the highest level in the world - 8.4% (1.9% - in the free territory of Ukraine and 2.2% - in the world). Also, the occupiers report that 54 cases of "usual" pneumonia were detected over the day, 30 cases more than in the past day. Of these, 42 patients were hospitalized. A total of 955 patients with "usual" pneumonia are being treated, of which 471 are on oxygen support (+14 over the day).

Political motivation is in the first place, but not the convenience or problems of citizens… It is not worth waiting for the full-fledged opening of the checkpoints in the foreseeable future", - separatist publics wrote.
A pass through the Olenovka checkpoint on the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast will be opened for entry and exit on February 26 from 9:00 to 16:30. To enter, the occupiers require permission from the so-called "interdepartmental operational headquarters", which issues it on the basis of previously submitted applications from residents. Also, the occupiers require filling out a consent form for referral to the inpatient department of a healthcare institution for examination at the entrance from those crossing the demarcation line. Or, if wished, undergoing a paid-for examination while passing the checkpoint (rapid test for new coronavirus infection Covid-19).
The so-called "supreme court of the LNR" in the occupied Luhansk region sentenced a resident of Lysychansk to 12.5 years in prison with confiscation of property for "espionage", separatist media wrote. According to the local "Prosecutor General's Office", the prisoner "sent to the Ukrainian special service information about the numerical strength and deployment of units of the LNR People's Militia". "The defendant was found guilty. Based on the entirety of circumstances of the criminal case… the defendant was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison with confiscation of all property belonging to him", - the occupiers stated.
