Russia has stated that the demand for dissolution of the "DNR/LNR" allegedly depreciates the Minsk agreements. This was reported on Twitter by chairman of the Commission of the Council of the Russian Federation on information policy Aleksey Pushkov.

"The demand for dissolution of the DNR and LNR would be deliberately unacceptable. It makes the Minsk agreements senseless and impracticable, since these two republics are parties to the agreements", – he wrote.

As previously reported, second president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma announced the conditions at the next meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, under which official Kyiv is ready to start implementing the political part of the Minsk agreements – holding local elections and granting CADLO "special status". One of them is dissolution of the "LNR" and "DNR" groupings. This requirement is fully consistent with the Set of measures. So, the Minsk agreements, first of all, provide for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine by providing the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass with the status of "areas with a special order of local self-government". Under all the documents signed in Minsk, there are signatures of the puppet leaders of the "republics". At the same time, such concepts like the "DNR/LNR", as well as the names of any positions of "heads of republics", do not appear in the Minsk documents at all.
