National Guardsmen carry out about 20 detentions at checkpoints in Donetsk region

A man who was wanted, and 9 people, probably involved in the activities of illegal armed formations, were detained at checkpoints by the National Guard last week, - the press center of the Joint Forces reports.

Over the past week, members of the National Guard, performing military and service and fighting (special) tasks as part of the Joint Forces Operation at checkpoints near the settlements of Mariupol, Volnovakha and Blahodatne, carried out about 20 detentions.

In particular, the National Guardsmen found a man who was wanted by the Security Service of Ukraine at one of the checkpoints near Mariupol. The citizen was handed over to employees of the Manhush police department of the General Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine. In addition, 9 people were identified and detained from September 1 to September 7, including three women. According to the National Police search base, everyone is suspected of involvement in illegal armed formations. The Ukrainian military found a fake passport of Ukraine from another citizen at a checkpoint near the settlement of Volnovakha.
