Protest is growing: miners of two mines are blocking road in Donetsk oblast

The miners of the Ukrayina mine have joined the protest of the miners from the Kurakhovska mine, who are blocking the road in the area of village of Novoselidove, demanding to pay off the wage arrears. This was reported head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets on his Facebook.

"The miners of the Ukrayina mine joined the protesters, who refused to go to the mine hungry", - Volynets wrote.

The miners demand full repayment of the wage arrears: at the moment, the miners have not been paid 22% of their wages for May, and the money for June and July has not been paid at all.

Earlier, on August 5, about a hundred miners of the Kurakhovska mine of the Selidovuhillia state-owned enterprise walked on foot from Hirnyk to Selidove, demanding to pay off the wage arrears.

On August 8, the Kurakhovska miners blocked the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove highway near the village of Tsukuryne.

Since August 9, the mine workers have been daily blocking the road between Kurakhove and Selidove in the area of village of Novoselidivka.
